Join the next virtual European Future Energy Leaders (FEL) event on How to go Net-Zero in the Heavy Industry? on Friday 04.12.2020, 15:00-16:30h.

Europe’s energy intensive industries – cement, steel, glass and chemicals – are responsible for around 16% of EU emissions, and 60% of all EU industrial emissions. To achieve the EU’s target to get climate neutral by 2050 energy intensive sectors play a central role in decarbonization. We want to discuss with leaders of the heavy industry how net-zero can be achieved in hard to abate sectors.

Join our discussion with:

  • Dr. Carsten Rolle, Executive Director, World Energy Council Germany
  • Dr. Sebastian Scholz, Program Manager Hydrogen Transformation, ThyssenKrupp Steel
  • Magali Anderson, Chief Sustainability Officer, LafargeHolcim
  • David Cast, Climate Change Director, NSG Pilkington

The event is moderated by Ana Luís de Sousa, Doctoral Researcher, Instituto Superior Técnico, FEL-100 and Benjamin Böckl, Business Steering & Development, VERBUND, YEP Austria

The event is hosted by the European Future Energy Leaders (FELs) – a World Energy Council network.
